The County of Orange and OC Parks have teamed up for another season of the free OC Parks 2019 Summer Concert Series, which take place every Thursday evening from 5-8 p.m starting June 20 and running through Aug. 29 in five area parks including Craig Regional Park, Mason Regional Park, Irvine Regional Park, Mile Square Regional Park and Bluff Park at Salt Creek Beach.
Fullerton-based rock band Lit will close out the series on Aug. 29 at Bluff Park at Salt Creek Beach in Dana Point. The band is currently celebrating the 20th anniversary of its landmark record, “A Place in the Sun,” which featured the singles “My Own Worst Enemy,” “Zip-Lock” and “Miserable.” More recently, the group has adopted a more alt-country sound, which it showcased on its latest album, “These Are the Days,” which dropped in 2017.
The family-friendly concert series also includes free parking and there will be food trucks and other vendors located on site with a variety of eats and drinks available for purchase. There will also be a beer and wine garden for those 21 and older. Patrons can bring low-back lawn chairs, blankets, beach towels and coolers with picnic items.
