Voters appear ready to back incumbents hoping to keep two seats on the Fountain Valley City Council, early result showed Tuesday night.
Glenn Grandis and Ted Bui are facing challenges from Alice “Rudy” Huebner, a manager with UX Design, and Katy V. Wright, a speaker and nonprofit board secretary. Bui and Grandis both joined the council in 2020.

Bui has said Fountain Valley’s biggest need is “maintaining a balance between growth and the preservation of our quality of life.”
Grandis, who has lived in town much of his life, said his background as a small business owner equipped him with a sense of fiscal responsibility that he brings to his role on the council.
Huebner has said having grown up in Fountain Valley, and being involved in its community organizations, has given her a good understanding of what residents need and value.
When asked about leadership, Wright said she seeks more information when making decisions, calling herself “respectfully skeptical.”
The Registrar of Voters said following election night, results will be updated daily at 5 p.m., except weekends, until the counting is complete.
