The Esther’s Place health food eatery has relocated to 7561 Center Ave., No. 34, near the 405 Freeway, moving from its former location at 6789 Warner Ave.

Still in Huntington Beach and still super healthy. They have salads, gluten-free foods, smoothies, soups … delicious food with no guilt.

The  vitamin shop that shared space with Esther’s Place at the Warner location is closed. As a long-time customer of Esther’s Place, I can’t wait to visit the new site. I’m already dreaming about Esther’s special egg salad. Yum.

Hours: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday; closed Sunday. Information: 714-841-4266.

Store-closing discounts

Orchard Supply Hardware at 10081 Adams Ave., near Brookhurst Street, in Huntington Beach is closing. In the meantime, there are deep discounts — ranging from 30 percent to 70 percent — throughout the store. No official closing date has been announced.

Hours: 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday; 8 a.m. to 7 p.m Sunday. Information: 714-377-0794.

Samurai Burrito

Sad to see this unique twist on sushi has closed. There’s a sign on the window at 6973 Warner Ave. thanking customers for their loyalty, and announcing that their food truck is also shutting down.

The owners moved from Fountain Valley to Huntington Beach last year. Their concept was a new twist on how to enjoy sushi … in a burrito wrapped with items such as nori, or soy paper. They always had good service and delicious food.

New bar

The Boardroom Orange County opened in August. The Fountain Valley bar was formerly Ed’s Stumble Inn. It’s has a brand new look, with a neighborhood feel.

They have beer, wine, hot dogs (Taco Tuesday specials on occasion), pool tables, new TVs, and, my cousin’s favorite, darts. There are dart machines and dart tournaments. I’m definitely taking cousin Michael to a tournament to see how this former New Jersey resident does here in California.

The Boardroom Orange County is at 8896 Warner Ave. near Magnolia Street. Hours: 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Monday through Saturday; 9:30 a.m. to 2 a.m Sunday (during the NFL season). Information: ocboardroom.com or 714-916-0807.

Trunk or Treat

Put on your best costume, bring the kids, and head to Hyundai Motor America in Fountain Valley on Sunday, Oct. 28. It’s Trunk or Treat time.

What’s happening? You’ll be gathering candy located in the trunks of Hyundai vehicles. There also will be a balloon artist and games. Sounds like a fun, fun time … and it’s a free event.

Hyundai Motor America is at 10550 Talbert Ave. near Ward Street. Trunk or Treat hours: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Information: 714-593-4670.
